I'd be happy to see 24fps die. You said HFR shots "just look like real life" and to me that's precisely what any form of video SHOULD start with. You want to make an artistic choice, fine, but can we start with as crisp,

That's one. And, I'll even grant that many bands would like to see their poorer fans get tickets, vs. rich fans (I mean they are still fans, right? Nobody rich is buying a ticket so they can see a band they hate... unless it'

Is that really weird? Or is that "two years previous we made a bet on how popular these tickets will be, and priced them at $800. With a week to go, we still have some tickets: price them down so we make SOMETHING on them."?

You do live in that society. Everyone selling something IS trying to get the highest price they can for it.

Heartily agree. The Plinkett Prequel reviews are much, much more entertaining than the prequels themselves. (And they're not JUST raves against the prequels: while they do it in a humorous manner, they carefully list just exactly what

3:2 pulldown is taking 24fps film and making it work in 29.97fps TV video, generally with a couple interlaced frames. If you're seeing something "excessively fluid" the TV is interpolating frames. Which I love: 24fps needs to

The C-128 had both a Z-80 for CP/M, and a 2 Mhz version of the 6510 (the 8502). Could only run the 8502 at full speed with the regular graphics processor off/using the 80 character display.

Rachel's appearance in Blade Runner 2049 was shockingly good to me. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDx3WwWR6y4 ) On the other hand, I though Tarkin looked pretty good in Rogue One, and for some people he's a corp

The 1571 was the drive meant for the C-128, which could also run at double speed (2 megahertz!) with the C-64 video chip disabled and the 80-column video running.
