I've always wanted a better way to document and structure arguments/debates. Assertions can have supporting statements (as children), that can be further expanded and evaluated. This way, I can evaluate and discard branches, disti

Also, under-engineering can sometimes mean writing more code, or take longer to implement.

I think Microsoft could create it's own Linux distribution, graphics drivers, etc, and there would still be a healthy balance of ideas/innovation. The Linux kernel is great, but there is plenty of room for diverse opinions in user

It's a mix. SCP/SSH is official Windows builds. The shells/tools are Linux kernel with some hypervisor magic (WSL). I'm sure there are other things I'm missing in this.

It almost is, but not exactly a rebase. They are bringing in official SCP/SSH support, proper terminals with unix shells. X11 gui support (with WSL). I feel like Microsoft has read the writing on the wall. Developers love nix-based sys

Most of the time, it isn't very useful to have javascript even exist, even though there isn't 3rd party dep. For example, have you even been in the settings areas of GitHub and thought "I wish there was more async here!"

jQuery and full-page postbacks are my go-to, unless there is an actual need to introduce something else (React, etc). I'm usually conservative in the tools I choose, but I have to be especially conservative with js.

I look Google's product, because it (looks?) like it would work with static sites, like GitHub pages.

Interesting. I just use a GitHub issue for my post's comments, explained here: https://pknopf.com/post/2018-10-13-comments-for-static-sites... I use GitHub's API to render the comments on my static site. Comm

It doesn't sound like the MobX author has any attention on supporting MST.

Redux is king speg and boiler plater. So much work to do simple things, followed with advanced tricks to me the difficult things easier. I've used both extensively, MobX def wins IMO.

GitLab hasn't been giving it any attention. All they need is a checkmark in their portfolio.

Checkout https://GitHub.com/qmlnet/qmlnet It leverages the entire Qt system with the power of .NET. We use it on embedded medical devices.

Going from Ubuntu to Windows because of snapd is a big jump, there has to be something else there. I mean, I think Mint announced they are dropping it. You could go to Debian. But to Windows?

I've hopped many distros and DEs, but I've ultimately landed on Ubuntu. At a certain point, you just want things to work, on a platform that is widely supported by other tools. However, I did write a tool that allows me to treat m

I firmly believe GraphQL is a fad. It will never work, exposing the ORM to your clients. I'm curious, why don't we see more public-facing APIs using gRPC?
