Their argument seems to suggest that I should roll my own openssl, for "risk management". I mean, these projects typically have thorough tests.

Wow, that is an interesting approach they got there. The Bootstrap/Foundation abstractions are rarely "just right", always requiring you to change/fork/deviate from the norm. I like the idea of building the abstract

Yes, but "npm install" will by default add a semver-compat package version. The vast majority of packages out there use what "npm install" gives you be default. Furthermore, even if I use exact versions in my package.jso

I agree. I use them extensively with Yocto and the different layers (submodules) that make up my operating system. People have an adversion to them, but I find them easy to work with and very useful.

Agreed. I am very familiar with most front-end stacks. I typically choose React for my projects, and I really love it. But when a beginner asks me "What is the best framework for me, having little knowledge of front-end dev/ecosys

The built in thread pools must have a limit. Also, this isn't just a matter of keeping thread resources down, it's supporting scenarios like developing web and UI software. For example, if I have "OnButtonClick" and it d

With that approach, you increase the number of threads being used for a single "block" by how deep your "wait" stuff goes. In C# and Python, an async context shares a single thread loop that all joins jump back to. Simpl
