Yep, voltage on the eneloops by comparison is 1.2V. Lots of battery operated toys work better with 1.5V batteries. There are rechargeable alkalines that provide 1.5V but they are very unreliable and the rest of the rechargeable AA market is

The number one reason is because it is FOSS, easy to install, easy to use and easy to extend. The thriving themes and plugins ecosystem is the result of the platform becoming popular because of the aforementioned. If it wasn't FOSS Wor

Usually an acquisition spells trouble for the product's users, but this is a different kind of situation. I think WooCommerce and Sensei will only get better as a result. The only folk who have to worry is the people building competing

I think about the future of WordPress a lot. Like what would WP look like if it was mostly JS? When I look at all the front-end developments (React etc), it's really hard to gauge. On one level I'd love to see things become more f

I'm merely responding the parent comment who is basically saying don't report anything that hasn't been fully understood yet. It's bizarre. In this case, if the effect involved is real, it is real without being understoo

It's a shame that ones personal experiences result in generalizations that are then attached to Open Source. People can and will be assholes in any kind of project or group. That has not got a lot to do with Open Source. It would be fa

The physics measurements are interesting for different reasons. Those are measuring very objective things, even if measurements vary, they vary for ways we can conceivably calculate. Some physicists even raise the idea that certain constant

No, what is meaningful is not what the effect size (a number) is measuring, it's just a statistical metric. So in this case, I think it's clearly meaningful if humans have the power to impact other humans inner-state non-verbally.

A "small" effect size doesn't make it any less interesting or less impressive. If anything it underlines how even the most trivial human interactions can make a meaningful impact, positively or negatively.
