Strangely, the front page is linking a better summary than the single item view: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/05/facebook-exodus-44-percent-o... Especially insofar as it includes this topline note: > The s

Was there ever any doubt? What a joke ( and waste of time and resources ). At this point I'm surprised Pai bothered to release a statement.

Wonder how useful this might be for space travel. Spaceships are essentially thermos bottles (metal tube surrounded by vacuum). So lots of surface with large temperature differences.

A corollary to this great answer, which I hope is apparent, is to get a lawyer who has experience with this sort of deal. A good one will be able to advise you through the whole process and tell you when they see red flags. Worst case you

Selection bias is real here. I thought dbl quotes smart for all the reasons in the readme. Me commenting 'this is great' is just noise on HN, and discouraged by the rules. Never take self-selected anything as truth, especially co

Fair enough. You'd be surprised how well this stuff is priced in on the merits. Plenty of ex IP attorneys like me working in and for financial institutions evaluating these petitions. Not all patents are good. Not all are bad. But do

The courts do. Nearly every invalidity decision by the PTAB is appealed to the Federal Circuit. Now, the standard of review from the Board is more deferential than from a typical court, but this is for a reason: The panels at the PTAB h

Hi. This is legally incorrect. All inter partes review decisions are subject to judicial review by the Federal Circuit. The standard applied by the Courts is called "substantial evidence." To dumb down the standard (it is only

I actually think Reddit nailed the balance for subreddits[1], even if it is a little more forum-ey than the social sites you mentioned. I understand that might change soon, which is a shame. [1] excepting /r/spackd--ks[2], as it a

It's not uncommon for investigative subpoenas to be under seal. But to be fair I have no idea how these particular agencies operate.

My biggest problem is that with these screens Linux hiDPI support for fractional scaling is just bad. Sure, you can hack it. And unity, for it's failings, pretty much just works. But the rest of the space is horrendous.
