   You should take a look at https://www.npmjs.com/package/irc which makes it easy to send, listen and receive on IRC connections in a Node app. Which of course you can include in a Gomix app :)

   With binary files and git, am I saving all the previous versions in the tree locally (which could get huge fast), or just the diffs?

   I'm a huge fan personally, I especially like it's implementation of combined gutter linting and git line diffs.
