I'd still like a product for putting putting bounties on small individual scripts / functions / pieces of code. Kind of a payment system on top of Stack Overflow or Github Gists; less-so a competitor to Upwork. I don't w

Just have a backup branch at the same commit as the branch you're about to rebase. It'll keep all of the pre-rebase commits on that standard branch. No need for the reflog or "trashcan" or anything weird like that.

IMO the best podcasts are organic and conversational between interesting hosts, not "produced" segment shows like many of the big names. Here's a suggestion: Omnibus! With Ken Jennings and John Roderick https://www

They meant that antique means "only" 19th century in this case because that's when the spire was installed. It's not as antique as the rest of the cathedral.

There are plenty of preferably laptop designs on the market, the problem is that they do not run OS X.

Seriously. Apple, just release a nicely-designed normal Qi charger. Upgrade it to the fancy version if/when you can. Same with a USB-C hub/dock for the laptops.

The most annoying thing about Stack Overflow for me is the multiple account system for every site on the Stack Exchange network. I have thousands of points of reputation on Stack Overflow. Why can am I not allowed to edit posts or cast open

The entire value of WWDC is going to the Labs, giving an Apple engineer your Radar number, and having them read you or paraphrase the internal-only notes attached to the ticket. Half the time the question/bug will be clearly resolved i

I find that many American families cargo-cult the "no shoes inside" rule but without the necessary home infrastructure to support it. A pile of shoes at the garage entrance with no bench to put them on, or expecting you to remove

I wish there was a way in stock OS X to have windows float on top in the z-order. I'd love to do more multi-window stuff but I hate how I constantly lose small windows when I focus my larger editor or browser.

I'd love a Mac app or keyboard shortcut that simply corrected the nearest "red squiggly line" misspelled word in your current textbox.

The "random keypad order" is used on secure physical keypads, which display a random order of numbers so that fingerprints, key wear, etc. can't be used to isolate the keys being pressed over time.

The AMP pages with mobile app pop-up are the worst. Especially as the cookie is broken so that you get the pop-up every single AMP visit.

To encourage this behavior, why not put a stoplight in the middle of the road at the merge point? Just like the ramp meters that limit cars entering the freeway. But instead a dual light that encourages zipper merging via offsetting green s

The Microsoft "ribbon" got a lot of flack circa 2007, but it was essentially a menu / menu bar but with icons and large tap targets. Something like that would be far more appropriate for iOS than just aping the Mac text menu.
