Yeah I've been using the same iterative process using img2img. Using AI removes most of the toil (tedious masking and colour matching and relighting images) involved in this kind of photo manipulation work. As these tools improve it wi

I've been recreating the 50 worst heavy metal album art using AI as well, currently at 30. Recently I've found Stable Diffusion plus DALL-E inpainting to be a good combination. https://twitter.com/P_Galbraith/

Plus there is no reason why someone couldn't build a specialised AI model to do vectorisation and another to generate simplified versions of vectors. People are already doing by combining DALL-E 2 with gfpgan for face restoration. So t

I kinda did a similar thing recently with DALL-E 2, recreating a badly drawn heavy metal album cover https://twitter.com/P_Galbraith/status/1549519849558519808

Here's a trick for this use Google image search. That will give you various descriptions of similar images. Then use those descriptions in your prompt. Some similar examples below but you will need to engineer the prompt a bit more to

It depends who that common customer is. If you're building a tool for industry and your users are electrical engineers, you would design it differently to a consumer mobile app is all I am saying.

There are designers that appreciate the distinction between the way you design a desktop application vs a consumer website / mobile app. A lot of the design literature and discussion seems to be focused on the latter these days. A lot

Yeah I've been having fun with it recreating bad Heavy Metal album art ( https://twitter.com/P_Galbraith/status/1548597455138463744 ). It's good, but surprisingly difficult to direct it when you have a com

You use a web app to interface with it. Agree going from DALL-E 2 to Midjourney is pretty painful. Hopefully Midjourney create a web UI for it like OpenAI/Craiyon.

You are probably right. Having used it I sometimes get images with white polygons covering the faces of people as if they have been blanked out.

That's an open source recreation based on DALL-E 1. It's different to DALL-E 2, if you want that look for DALLE2-pytorch, but note that it hasn't been trained fully yet.

You can upload an image to DALL-E, edit it and add a prompt to it as well.

As an amateur fiction writer who has experimented with GPT-3 I tend to agree. However AI can definitely play a role in the process, especially around editing. Professional writers have the advantage of professional editors and expert beta r

Absolutely. I'm based in Australia and that's exactly what the fully remote company I work for does, they fly the team over every few months... minus the tropical island.

I don't know much about this particular case. However generally speaking that is not true. They would just need to make the fork public. Whether the maintainer accepted the changes upstream is irrelevant.

Another amateur Australian fiction writer here. I started last year around the time of the lockdowns. I'm in the same boat as you just writing for fun and enjoying the process. I'll probably look at the self-publishing route once

You would still have the same bottleneck but the API request would return straight away with some sort of correllation ID. Then the workers that handle the GPU bound tasks would pull jobs when they are ready. If you get a lot of jobs all th

He's talking about AngularJS (v1). It is very different to modern frameworks like Angular (v2+), React, et.al. Frameworks from that era didn't involve setting up any build process. Have a look at https://angularjs.org&#

To me it seems obvious that React would be hierarchical. It is a view layer that creates a virtual DOM, that then gets rendered down into the browser DOM. Which is hierarchical. Horizontal message passing is really a state related issue and

Their closest Fargate equivalent is probably Azure Container Instances. I haven't tried it recently but last time I did the startup time was very slow for new containers (5mins+). However that may have improved now.
