Maybe all this "BTC blockchain as a platform" stuff is too tangential and undermines (no pun intended) the potency of BTC as a cryptocurrency. Maybe there could be a "Platform Test Coin" to beta test all these far out id

I was thinking X-Men. In the last movie, didn't they have robots to detect mutants underground? LOL.

If we look at the market adoption curve (Marketing 101) most of the money and most of the demand is in "old" technology. But extremely old tech, extremely new tech, either way there's going to be demand across the spectrum re

More important than maintaining WordPress, you want a secure server. Here's a not-comprehensive list... - Use a VPS. If you talk to Olly, author of "wpCop" http://wpcop.com/ and the VPSBible, he recommends Ce

I agree. I've been generally following WordPress news since 2004 (the beginning of its popularity) there's been no serious security problem in many years, as long as you had open user registrations turned off. Why you would allow

As long as you didn't need a user interface :-) Back then, you were lucky to get any Applet working without crashing the browser. From what I remember, GD was pretty much the only way to draw anything besides ASCII art. Oh and that Mac

This is how we did DOS VGA fonts ~1990. Draw the pixels right in the code (everything was monospace) and write that array directly to video memory. Mode 13 (320x200x256) video memory was sequential, easy to animate. Also you could do palett

That's one problem naming a business after a person. Still the domain is worth something. No sense "parking" a domain like that.

Repeated exposure to certain things cause an allergic reaction. Acne, fatigue, headaches, allergies come in many forms. I can't say for sure it was the sugar. All I can tell you is, I gave up sugar. (And other things, keep reading.) Yo

I thought the article was going to show brain scans ;-) I gave up sugar in high school because nothing else was working on my acne. It was difficult but you can replace sugar with maple syrup, honey and fruit. After a while the craving goes

Interesting point. Though universities allow F students in through loopholes. Fail HS, go to community college where the tests are open book, then transfer to a University which by law must accept them.

I agree we need extra careful people doing those important jobs. Most websites, they don't even want to pay for a failover server. So every market has different expectations.

Been writing code for 30+ years. I did devops for OS/2. I have seen stuff break, like when Media Temple had a cluster fail and their backups failed. Which is why you always do nightly offsite backups. I never trust a host's onsite

That doesn't really refute the article. Anyone with access to the DNS server could change the email records for a few minutes to intercept mail. A hacker wouldn't have to wait for propagation in that case. And who would notice? Th
