Yes I am. If there's a hole in IE allowing a virus to proliferate, don't we blame IE and get a security patch or switch to another browser? How is this any different? The root of the problem is Android and the Play Store.

"Android shows the permissions each app is requesting before you install" Yes and no. Google often hides the most offensive permission requests under that "see more" arrow. And the permission requests (and accompanying explanations) are t

I blame Google and Android and its Play Store. So many apps ask for ridiculous access to everything, they should really discourage this. There should be a big red flag on any apps that ask for "superuser" access to my phone. After getting

I was thinking the same thing. Twitter, Facebook, Google all allow you to make edits and/or delete. At the very least, StackExchange-like revisions would be nice. So if something really needs to be rolled back, that's an option.

Maybe it's a self-referential, insular sense of what's a reasonable rate of expansion? Pensions for them, while the free market searches its sofa for spare change. How do we compete with India, Philippines and the rest of the world? Tele

I think the only way it'll work is if you build a new city from scratch where driving is prohibited. Like Hotel California, you can drive in but you can never drive out ;-)

But how clean is a "shared" car? I'm not one of those hand sanitizer people but the thought of sharing a car with 100s of people makes me a little queasy. Would you check the headrest for lice? The other thing is reliability. Read the C

There's a company here in Austin (can't remember the name) that will deliver fresh organic groceries to your door in a plastic box. They have a form and you just click the interval you want for the "recurring" stuff.

From the NYT article, sounds like it was a connection problem. Which makes you wonder, was it a DoS attack (either end of the connection?) preventing AA from connecting to Sabre?

I came to the opposite conclusion last night and wrote about it here: http://tomakefast.com/seo-vs-social-bots-vs-people-2617/ Essentially, SEO can really work against you if Google doesn't see your business the way you see your business.

You think I'm wrong but you wholeheartedly agree? Funny. Every situation is unique but bottom line: you can't receive content without a connection. Most apps NEED a connection to function. So an error message "No Connection, Retry?" is

If my phone has no signal I'd rather see an error message. I don't want the app to pretend everything is fine when that's not the case. If I press "Delete" in the app, don't pretend the thing is deleted if it's not really deleted yet, tha

OK thanks for explaining it better. My initial impression was that everyone was just brute-force attacking the same mathematical problem and there was only 21 million solutions. Apparently it's way more complicated than that.

I think people new to Bitcoin could be confused by this. Mining difficulty is not "adjusted" by anyone. Only 21 million Bitcoins can ever be found. It's like hunting for Easter eggs. The last egg is hardest to find. Lots of math but loo
