The argument is that once they have this precedent in hand, they can then use it to force Apple to alter the code in the secure enclave of all current Apple devices so that the security services can gain access to them on demand. Or else,

That said I think John McAfee and probably a few people on here could get in, so the tl;dr is ya they coming for that secure enclave. Small note - in the case of this particular phone it doesn’t have a secure enclave. But yes, I’m sure p

Homebrew lacks many packages. Coming from Debian / Ubuntu, the package repository was always the first place to look when I needed some software. MacPorts is more complete in my experience, but tends to lag behind Homebrew for the ne

The energy is dumped into gravitational waves rather than electromagnetic radiation & they don’t interact with matter much. I’m not sure you’d notice it happening in the same galaxy unless you were looking for it.

The energy was all dumped into the gravitational waves we detected, not into electromagnetic radiation: Gravity waves don’t interact with matter very much (the cross section of the graviton is believed to be extremely small) so the quantity

I wouldn’t place any trust in the Daily Mail whatsoever. Do you have a more reliable link? As far as I’m aware, NASA knew that there had been a foam / ice strike on the orbiter but had no idea how bad it was. Given those circumstances,

Fairly informal, occasionally jokey writing is a hallmark of the British press. For us, it’s a bit of a culture shock to read the mainstream US press which takes everything very seriously.

Lets Encrypt only generates certs with a 90 day expiry, so if longer than that is a requirement for you then you need to look elsewhere. You won’t be able to use the automated letsencrypt scripts to generate a cert either - you’ll have to u

The game logic in modern games is usually scripted in some form or other whilst the world mesh & textures are “just” data structures. Reverse engineer both & you can make a game engine dance to your own tune.

ARM2 had hardware multiply & more shadow registers and came in at 30k transistors according to Wikipedia. Everything2 thinks the ARM2 came in at just over 25k transistors though, with the ARM1 using less than 25k.

So the ARM1 had no cache & no microcode. 15 user visible 32 bit registers, with some (Nos 10-15 IIRC) duplicated for use during interrupts (FIQ mode). I think a couple more registers were also duplicated for use during other interrupts.
