Photons do have mass, because energy has mass & photons carry energy. They have no rest mass, which is why they are usually described as massless, but this isn't the whole story!

Dev work stalled for quite some time as (I believe) a lot of work needed to be done to update the App for newer versions of Android.

Many publishers do exactly this, although usually the timescales are a bit longer & it’s not announced as any kind of formal promise.

Most of the money made by an AAA game is made in the first week or two of sales; DRM that takes a week or two to crack is “good enough” from the POV of the publisher.

Yup, because for those, the cable between the lights can’t take the current that the cable from the wall can deliver, so you ought to have a fuse for safety reasons - a short could cause a fire. (Whether this is legally required in the US p

Why would people not accept fuses in plugs? (Apart from the size issue & in reality you could probably fit a fuse into a modern US plug without making it much bigger than it is now.)

UK plugs are the best plugs. Apart from when you tread on one... (The requirement to have a fuse in every plug is a necessity for UK ring mains, but makes the things even bigger than they otherwise would be.)

I think it was significantly more than just a single Tweet. You’d have to go back to the original judgement (some of which is quoted in the judement I linked to) to see.

Plenty of people run Emacs purely in order to use Magit & don’t use it for anything else. That’s how good Magit is.

The Play Store fees are effectively voluntary donations to the devs & the OpenStreetMap project. If you really want to pay nothing, they’re not going to stop you - F-Droid is right there.

It’s not the accuracy (although that’s obviously table stakes). It’s the quality & reliability. There are a ton of cooking thermometers on Amazon. A majority of them are awful. Either they’re woefully inaccurate, or they fail after only

Roku is not just a pipe. They charge 20% of your income to have your streaming channel on Roku devices. Big hitters like Netflix presumably negotiate custom contracts, but 20% is the standard rate.
