We've been using 98.6F as the threshold for fever in India for as long as I can remember (I'm 40 years old) even though for everything else we use the Celsius scale.

Yes, I was mostly kidding that Scientists found out only now. But we definitely need a new design. Closing the lid is ugly (someone who has always thought about invisible splashes falling up on the floor and toilet seat wouldn't think

Scientists have found it only now, but I have always thought about it. :D ... I have always wondered why no one has invented a toilet with an auto-closeable, auto-cleanable "inner lid" (sitting collapsed just below the seat) that

Yeah. C++/Rust, or (slightly far fetched) C# support would be so awesome!

Just to give you a feedback from a new (neutral) user who had no experience of either image editing concepts and tricks; OR an image editing tool like Photoshop or GIMP. I could at least navigate my way through in Photoshop but never in GIM

I having a masters in Computer Science could never make my way through GIMP, tried quite a few times. I have never seen a more complicated UI (while I was at least functional in Photoshop). Thankfully hundreds of online image editors arri

People keep saying Google reads your emails (even when Google explicitly says otherwise), but have no proof, and trust Apple's words as the gospel of truth - how strange. It's almost as if it's fashionable to criticize them.

It was never about you (the customer), if you were thinking that. It was always about they keeping the control so that they can monetize every possible part of the ecosystem. Giving you the freedom takes that opportunity away. You see how t

Exactly my point, I'm sure there are benefits, but this example is more suited to Typed languages whereas many functional languages like you say are untyped. And man, I've worked with MIT Scheme in a major commercial software for

Yeah. I'm one of those who are not convinced yet about functional programming being so great . In most cases what people call functional programming are inefficient shortcuts to lengthier functions, so I never got all that hype about

I think he's limited by the technology of our times, but I'd still agree with him that this is _the future_ (not sure how soon), and they probably want to be at the forefront when that happens.

I've bought "digital gold" quite a few times from apps (in India). So they could demand 30% out of that as well? Apple's greed is now getting to ridiculous levels.
