I think anyone who's an expert in any general-purpose programming language can find a way to parlay that into a job, since it's much easier for them to learn another language, but knowing Clojure doesn't help much for learnin

I think the Clojure job market is pretty good for senior developers but bad for junior developers. Anecdotal evidence, but I saw someone a few months ago who had an active Clojure blog, gave talks on Clojure, contributed to multiple interes

This is an interesting/generous giveaway... I'm not sure what to think about XLM. On the one hand, I am very pessimistic about all altcoins, but on the other, I am impressed with Stripe, Keybase, and the teams behind those product

This isn't a problem that will be solved by technology anytime soon. There are more guns in the U.S. than people. Even if you had a perfect tracking system for legally sold weapons, there are plenty of people willing to sell guns illeg

I recently read David Deutsch's book Beginning of Infinity , and it drastically increased my level of optimism. Summarizing it wouldn't do it justice, but I highly recommend reading it.

But for XHR only POST requests that meet a lot of constraints (defined here https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/CORS#Simpl... ) will work, right? Nothing with a Cookie header for example...

I see what you mean, evil.com could still make a request that includes cookies, which is why we need CSRF tokens. But from my understanding, it wouldn't be able to do that in a XMLHttpRequest hidden on the page. It would have to be a r
