Atomic Heart had the best shader compile I’ve seen yet. It happened with a loading bar on the main menu and didn’t stop you from exploring settings. IMO the compile should be part of the install step outside the game though

Assuming that there is some sort of sensor that’s measuring these turn radiuses? What happens to the machine when the sensor malfunctions? Does it shut down (requiring work to stop), keep going (being a huge liability) or is there a box of

The way I understood the issue (as an outsider) is that they weren’t offering things like gaskets for sale. Sure, I can pull out the old one if it pops but what do I do now? That plus there being a remote kill switch if someone does figure

I’ve found that having a charged, exposed cable laying around will start to rust within about 6 months. This is from cheap phone cables so it being copper-coated instead of full copper is likely. I’ve also heard of cathodic protection or el

The headsets that exist today are very, very isolating. The whole idea behind them is to bring you somewhere else! To get AR right though, we need to be talking about something more like a projection like Google Glass. To bring the interfac

I think it’s a lot easier to become productive and efficient at work than it is at home (or generally tasks for yourself). Because of the structures built to support it only usually end up in one environment. That imbalance is what I think

For a quick starting point, try gcore[1]. Open the file it pops out into your favourite editor and hope that search works. For gentler introduction, look for CTF sites. The one that gets recommended most is tryhackme.com. There are a bunch

If the neurons that are weak are the ones for processing external signals and having them override internal signals is the goal, maybe it’s as simple as a cold shower every day.

That’s what the chart I linked says. To stand on a 1m length suspended on both ends, a 2060 might work but a 2080 should be safe. That’s just a bit smaller than a much cheaper wooden 1x4 though.

The reason I haven’t used these for a few past projects is that they can’t quite hold up under human-scale weights (1). Would be awesome to have something like this but steel! 1: https://us.misumi-ec.com/pdf/fa/201

Where is the line between a state machines and object-oriented? One encapsulates some state and provides a set of messages to modify it. The other encapsulates some state and provides a set of transitions to change it.

Proxy all the requests through a server you own and validate the game’s cd key or whatever before forwarding the request. Could also add a block list of known bad actors plus some rate limiting if that isn’t enough.
