Microsoft Silverlight. Full C# instead of god forbidden js. Full vector dpi aware UI, with grid, complex animation, and all other stuff that html5/css didn’t have in 2018 but silverlight had even in 2010 (probable even earlier). MVVM p

With 5k/6k displays ordinary tiling is a joke: windows are too big. So apps like moon are far better option. On Windows there is no such thing as Moom, so I use tiling manager like komorebi. As a person switching between different OSs

It doesn’t force you with tiles (on 6k xdr tiles are a joke). Its two-stage popup is a game changer. Ie you show it via caps-a, then press one letter to move window anywhere. And it allows you to specify any arbitrary size and position and

The whole reason was working in the browser. WPF was great for desktop, albeit Windows only. So that was wrecked after .net framework became .net core (and thus needed crossplatform). Then some shitheads at Microsoft got the “release new UI

Battery and mobile performance is what killed flash and silverlight as an aftermath in the first place. See “Thoughts on Flash” by Steve Jobs https://web.archive.org/web/20170615060422/https://www.apple..

My nation-wide C# Silverlight app lasted almost 12 years. And it had grid, animations, what have you in 2010 better than most html5 in 2018. Not to mention tooling. And you know what? No matter the browser, no matter the OS it all worked an

That’s some far fetched piece (based on what is above the paywall). For jets argument you must first understand where Kaliningrad is: something akin to Alaska for US — open the map to see what European countries are invariably in between.

First, as an advertiser you want those sweet-sweet people with money. Second, if they put “display: hidden” on ads doesn’t mean they will create and use entirely other architecture, data flow and storage, just for those pro users.

I don’t pay $200 per month to use a product tightly coupled for ad revenue (ahem tracking). That’s why I use Kagi, Hey, Telegram, Apple (for now) etc. I really hope OpenAI can build a sustainable model which is not based on that.
