I did work on a project that was Rails 3, and for various reasons, it can never be upgraded without basically rebuilding the entire system. They keep hoping for an exit that will simply never happen because who would buy a rotting system li

Ive been concerned about Zuckerberg and Theil using Trump to get their FWD.us thing passed and start importing cheap developers here.

Jekyll created static websites, with no database for an attack vector. I learned this the hard way after having a few digital ocean droplets compromised, no backups, etc. Thats one advantage.

Can some add HTML to the documentation, or maybe make a codepen, along with using it with a CDN? Im trying to use it in a test app but I;m not quite getting how everything is fitting together. A single HTML page with everything on it would

Can you add HTML to the documentation, along with using it with a CDN? Im trying to use it in a test app but I;m not quite getting how everything is fitting together. A single HTML page with everything on it would be really ideal.

I completely agree but some people don't want to admit what a huge failure Drupal is after they've spent years of their lives working on it, with it, promoting to clients and defending it.

All of Ben's books are amazing. Check Agent ZigZag out. I've read it like 4 times. Such an amazing fun story. http://www.amazon.com/Agent-Zigzag-Story-Espionage-Betrayal-...

This is my #1 worry about our industry - Zuckerberg and his folks will get that FWD.us thing passed and use to to ship cheap Indian engineers over here. Call me an asshole if you want but don't be shocked when it happens to you.

I have been fairly happy with Things 2. A big on the pricey side but have had zero issues. I have lists of lists, including places I want to visit, movies I want to see, etc. Everything goes in there.

Im very interested in being financially secure. What do you folks suggest would be something good to specialize in? I do rails now, bit of front end. Heavily interested in iOS.

Maybe now we can add a way to get a random value from an array like array, sample in Ruby. Lots of work currently to do such a simple thing in Swift.

Yeah or one could just put the Stripe paywall in front of it. Like imagine a nail salon or hairdresser or whatever using this on their website - Have them pay Stripe first, then upon successful charge they are redirected to your booking.js

This is really cool - I wonder, can I have someone find a booking that works for their time schedule, then redirect to Stripe to pay, then back to finish the scheduling?

I wonder what this means for the Boston twitter offices (Crashlytics and Bluefin Labs) - No mention of them, whereas Vine and Periscope are.

Another +1 to learning the business domain and the jargon associated. I work in the real estate software industry, and our Rails app is nothing but models of leads, agents, brokers, properties, etc. Knowing that an Agent belongs_to a Broker
