Well ServInt can up your plan in minutes, too. Free evaluation of the next-size VPS for two weeks. All it takes is one email.

Yeah and I also think he's missing the point that people use mongrel not because it's awesome like Zed, but because they don't have choice. Having deployed several mongrel-based servers I personally think mongrel is a crappy server, and is

So what has really happened, or Rackspace does not go as far as explaining customers what was the reason and what measures are taken so it won't happen again? I'd be surprised if that is the case. My current hoster costs less and does much

Article is so full of it pitching DB2 that it's not even funny. Oracle, as an active MySQL contributor (InnoDB) would of course maintain and support it for the lower end niche market, probably adding an easier migration path up to the ful

Funny article, I hope the author was not being serious. C is everything when you need performance, but having something done quick and maintainable - in C - no sorry. If somebody would dare to actually create a rails or django level frame

Heh bugged me too, I hear this statement often and it's coming from people who believe vim is only about 'i' and ':w'. vim has quite a steep learning curve, especially comparing to TextMate, but feature-wise it's all these editors and more.

Try phone interview at google to get that "really dumb" feeling after an hour of answering tricky questions - all of which are real easy when relaxed, but not when there is an "invisible interviewer" waiting on the other end.
