Is anyone else concerned about the environmental impact of LLM’s? These things require so much power, water, and land. I honestly think we’re gonna ignore it like we do with plastic. Another technology too ubiquitous, cheap and convenient t

You can’t have cheap fast food made from humanely raised livestock. Nando’s however is even more despicable. Here in the US they aren’t cheap.

ChromeOS is 14 years old, not really sure why they’re just now going this route. Android laptops are nothing new, unless you don’t count the crappy low end ones that have no business running it. I’m sure Google will make their flagship apps

We need more projects like this. People making all sorts of libraries for HTML/CSS parsers, render trees, layout models etc. I don’t want to see a world where everything runs on top of Chromium and we all just unwittingly submit to it.

If there’s one thing I learned watching those Hoarder reality tv shows it’s that you can clean up after them all you want but that’s just a bandaid.

I don’t understand the point of these ultra wide monitors. On windows 11, you can only have 3 verticals columns with a monitor this wide. If I had 3 regular width monitors, I could have 6 columns overall. I’d also imagine it looks awkward w

The irony of these type of blog musings is how they always try to outline the neuroticism of our culture as being afraid of being alone and too connected online. Because at the same time they themselves sound entrenched in it by making an e

Ladybird has too much pride. They are more concerned with making something from scratch than something that actually works. Also they’re switching over to Swift which can only be worse for performance.
