Chomsky's political writing is actually backed by tons of data (facts). He is clear about his ideology and does not try to hide it,but facts his quoting are facts.

The idea of getting rid of GC is very exciting, as GC has a lot of drawbacks. I want to study Carp to see how this was achieved. Incidentally, today I also found Bone Lisp https://github.com/wolfgangj/bone-lisp/blo

Another major advantage over C and C++ is a language level support for multidimensional arrays, i.e. you don't have to reasearch available libs, depend on them, convert between them, etc. I fully understand resistance of scientific com

Yes, I can think of programs that can only be designed and implemented by top 1% of programmers. Regarding "programming is not a [...] thing to waste those precious early years on.", well, this is not something I'd like to ar

Why do you think so? It's a common knowledge early start gives one an advantage in many disciplines: music, ballet, chess. Why are you so sure programming is so different?

I don't think people are making fun of other people here, we are lauhging at a particular software engineering pathology, that's all. There are important lessons in the story of left-pad library to be learned not only by JavaScrip

To me, the idea of inlining functions that are otherwise called only once is complete garbage. Yes, you reduce number of functions in your program but the program doesn't get easier to read, test, develop and maintain as the functions
