I like simplicity. I use i3, Firefox with enough privacy extensions, Emacs and terminal. And I love to be able to have a great keyboard, where sadly the ThinkPads are the only choice nowadays. Using Mac OS X or Windows will give me a headac

Works really well out of the box with certain laptops. Excellent man pages. A good amount of software and a good track record with security. FreeBSD is nice for a file server, OpenBSD for a laptop.

Oh, I need Docker a lot. And our target platforms are Linux and OSX, so I just want to have some kind of standard OS on Desktop. Also stuff like Signal, Spotify etc. I still haven't been able to get running on OpenBSD, maybe some day..

Been running 6.5 snapshots in my travel laptop for some weeks and everything just works. The laptop is a ThinkPad X200 which is a bit slow for my needs, but upgrading it to ThinkPad X230 later this week should help. I really enjoy how simpl

I just installed OpenBSD to my ThinkPad X200. 5 hours of battery life, everything worked out of the box, and closing the lid suspends the machine, opening it up brings it awake. Every time. I tend to go with older laptops, but they are defi

We'll build the server first with Rust. Hopefully me or somebody else has time to do the library later. Would be fun, but right now all focus is on the server rewrite.

I use KeepassXC which I sync to my home NAS from two computers and my phone. Keepass DX is the best Android app I've found and it supports opening the database with your fingerprint. I don't see the fuzz here if needing to have a

It is such a phenomenon in Finland there is a great TV-series called M/S Romantic made out of the people going to the cruises. If you get the cheapest tickets, some fights, noise, sex and/or vomit is something you'd expect...

And Come to Daddy was a joke against the current mainstream, that was The Prodigy in those days. Although most of his stuff has been some kind of a joke always, even though its usually brilliant stuff.

You should give a listen to the early Autechre or Speedy J. Or anything Warp put out in the 90s.

https://console.hetzner.cloud/ has OpenBSD 6.4. You must purchase a server with one of the four official Linux images first, then go server settings and from the iso images you can mount the OpenBSD install ISO and reboot.

I'd wait for Ubuntu 19.04 to get wayland-protocols 0.17, which is required by wlroots. If you want to test it now, Arch linux has a package already: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/swa
