Same story. I love Arch, but having more than one computer with constantly changing custom wm/shell/compiler setup makes it complex to replicate the same changes in all the machines. NixOS makes this just one git push/pull an

It is very easy to embed to C/C++ codebase, much faster than almost any other scripting languages (luajit) and adds a minimal amount to the binary size.

It is even better if you pre-heat the water before pouring it to the pot. Then heating the water just enough it comes up from the pipe. Keep the temps low and don't let it boil on the top. It helps if you keep the lid open. Such a grea

We solved this with flat vectors and just sharing index values in cheap walker objects. It is much nicer to work with compared to arc/weak pointers. Code here: https://github.com/prisma/prisma-engines/tree

There are a few things to make things slow still. Try macros generating async code. That can go out of control and is a common case in tests.

It's funny how different it is between regions here. In Berlin you smell it everywhere on the streets and in the bars. In Munich, if you're caught smoking, the police gets quite interested. It's obvious how it's going to

With the open source app xDrip, any Android watch has been able to act as a collector since G4 days already. With AndroidAPS you can even dose insulin directly from the watch.

Isn't that waste of energy? We live in an energy crisis, so is it really feasible to waste it in wireless charging?

The European air traffic is subsidized quite often, trains not that much. Just take all that government money out from flying and put it to trains, suddenly they become much cheaper.

Isn't `weak_ptr` the same as `sync::Weak` in Rust? There are a few places I've seen this in use. One of them is if you want to build a tree of data you can traverse in any direction. E.g. parent -> child and from child -> pa

I'm a bit curious of using `shared_ptr` for all allocated objects, wouldn't it be a bit like using `Arc` with every allocated object in Rust? This means in a tight loop the atomic counter becomes the bottleneck. How is C++ getting

I solved this with NixOS: my home setup follows me at work and at home (desktops) and on my laptop. I change something in one machine and the change is one git pull away in the other machines.

Tailscale and SSH work great here. I have a ryzen desktop in the office and all ports open in the VPN network, so it is easy to use whatever remote software is needed. I personally just use vim over ssh.
