How did the rights for that work out? If I were an employee when I built a tool to solve a problem like that I would expect the employer to own it. Can you talk to how that conversation went?

30, ~125k household income for two adults no kids, IT and teacher. Our income made it a little easier to get here but the $200k hole of combined student loans we started with (now fully paid off) probably counters that pretty evenly.

I've cut my expenses and invested the extra in index funds. Currently at a nest egg of around $300k which spews off dividends of around $500/month and is currently appreciating a bit faster than that.

Verizon does indeed provide a truly unlimited plan. You just can't buy it from them. It's the grandfathered plans from 2006-2009. You can still find them on Ebay for a couple hundred dollars up front [0]. They are still 100% truly

Seeds can remain viable for significantly longer than a year. My guess is that as it got significantly colder for that same time period, most seeds were too cold to grow until it warmed up after the soot left the atmosphere.

Can someone explain how he ever hoped to win this? The law seems pretty clear. In California, the public owns beaches up to the high tide line. Is there some exception that the lawyers were betting on?

US drivers drive 3.1 Trillions miles per year [0]. Every month, the 12 Month moving average has been going up at 5 billion miles [0]. So every month we need to install enough charging stations to charge 5 billion miles/year. Lets use a

A Tesla model 3 has a listed range of 220 miles and it declines in winter and with hills. Therefore I doubt one could actually go from downtown Denver to Vail (~95 miles) for a day of skiing and back in a day without charging at the resort.

Every time I see someone make the argument that "all cars will be electric by 20XX" I feel like they are incredibly sheltered from rural life. The US is HUGE! Sure the majority of commuting could be replaced by electric cars but I

Plastic production requires oil and improving power density of batteries doesn't help that. Heating houses to a US standard requires astronomical amounts of energy that will be provided by fossil fuels because they are cheap per BTU.
