All you need is a layer of abstraction to get past the downsides of soft deletion. You can use views or your ORM (if you use one) In Django, it's really easy to create almost seamless soft deletion logic in the model manager or in your

Ah good. We can retroactively destroy people's lives as the overton window shifts. What a splendid project.

I've found mega.nz to be a great alternative to Google Drive. I've never had issues with feature parity and it even has a proper Linux client. The combination of flag-happy AI and the way Google will nuke your entire account witho

tldr: because it’s not as profitable as it used to be. Flip side means that as soon as it is lucrative enough, they’ll go right back to censoring for the CCP.

I don't think a college degree is the best proxy for teaching competence. There's no reason high school graduates can't teach a subject just as well or better than college graduates. Have a certification for the subject if yo

If you're passing FAANG interviews without prep, you're in a very small minority. Maybe you're a genius. In any case, your experience is not particularly useful to the rest of us. Failing behaviorals is also usually a result

I was so worried they were winding down or something. I really love Mullvad and would hate to have to find a new VPN. This decision makes me like them even more.

I won't even consider companies with a take-home assignment. If you stick with it, be sure to give candidates a heads up that that's part of the process by the time they chat with the recruiter. Otherwise you're being really

Diversification - Google will cut you off with no reason or recourse. Better to distribute your earnings on a 3rd party so if you get banned from one you still have the other.

Japanese police have a reputation of "interrogating" you until you confess, regardless of innocence. That's the only way to hit their 99% conviction rate. The last thing they need is another bludgeon.

Every software project is a trash fire. Incompetence can definitely make a more severe trash fire, but the vast majority of the time, it'll just be due to constrained resources. There's never enough time to get anything truly &quo
