I believe the numbers normalize a bit when you adjust for the fact that everyone drives in the U.S. and tends to be alone when driving. So it’s like accident per mile driven and you see it’s around the same. But in the UK many fewer peopl

I’m more referring to the fact that it’s treated like a controlled substance here and sold in limited quantities from behind the counter. It’s the same treatment the U.S. gives to Sudafed which is an input to meth as I understand it.

Always surprises me as an American in the UK how hostile the UK is to paracetamol. You buy it in like 300-pill packages in the US, and I've literally never heard of anyone having a single accidental over-dose. I'm not sure I'

1) Form D provides a classification response that indicates if the vehicle is a VC fund. Seems like a good fix here. 2) jurisdiction won’t matter if it’s offered into the U.S. it needs to file a Form D (or rely on other exemptions).

Surprising amount of discussion on work/life balance and kids/family for a game dev. Is Valve known for this or is it just relative?

Hey this looks really awesome. Super helpful for those of us who are building in the document space for debugging if nothing else. Here are a couple of other projects for you to develop with / on if you aren't already using them:

Well there are actual realizations in the ETF and mutual fund context, and the market has simply decided that structure still works for the commingled investments of US taxpayers. PFIC taxation I concede is a head-scratcher, but it's s

It's not that it has punitive taxes for expats, it's just that as a US citizen, the US doesn't care where you live -- you're subject to US tax. It has rules for everyone that prohibit deferring income taxes which implica

If there's no product, and it's free, why would one care about it appearing in the output of an LLM? If it's so secret that it shouldn't, then perhaps it should be behind some auth anyway.

Fair, if your content is your product, but I’m more than happy for every LLM on the planet to summarize my page and hype the virtues of my product to its user.

True, but the statement sort of implies that the models are intrinsically "trash" today, and we're just waiting for that to be revealed by the next relatively superior model.
