I just downloaded and installed it. It's looking good so far. Nice to be able to just sign in directly to Skype. Can't use the voice function over 3G of course. I don't really have anyone to call at this time of the day, but calling the ech

What happens there is that submodules are checked out as a detached head. You'll see that when committing something in a submodule: Vienna-2:libgit2 pieter$ git commit -am "wawaa" [detached HEAD 8641889] wawaa but you'll still have

Having a bugtracker or not is a tough decision. You have to keep your ways of communicating limited to a few channels. You _will_ need to address the social aspect of your project in one way or another. It's probably either a mailinglist or

Good, the more projects that start using LLVM the better. There's also a GSOC project idea at the mono page ( http://www.mono-project.com/StudentProjects#LLVM_Back-End ) for targetting LLVM from the mono JIT. This way more projects can shar

I don't see this having a chance success. Paying for applications for which you have to hack your phone? I'm not going to pay $30 for an application which lets me tether my phone, a feature that I'll get for free in the next iPhone OS. And

It's not like this is JavaScript specific.. Any project that wants to be cross-platform has this issue. That's why there are also already solutions, for example buildbot. You can get it to check for new revisions in your VCS and run it on a

The advantage of using the app store micropayments is that users don't have to create a new account somewhere and put their account info in your app. They can use an existing system and have a one-click buy option. It'd be interesting to se

What would be even more interesting is having some kind of Maps widget available in the toolkit. Right now you can use a webview that points to a maps.google.com url (you do see this in some apps), but the experience isn't nearly as smooth

I don't get why you need an iPhone app for this. Wouldn't an iPhone-optimized site be enough? You'll also draw in more players, and it'd be easy to add a desktop frontend.
