It's much easier to simply use this with whatever date you prefer: defaults write com.apple.SoftwareUpdate MajorOSUserNotificationDate -date "2030-03-03 12:00:00 +0000"

Some of Google's products have really dropped in quality. In the past 5 or so years all the changes I've seen in Search, Youtube, and Gmail have been for the worse.

The price for whatever we're getting out of AI is way too high.

That used to be the case 3-4 years ago. Today Astro is very much a serious contender for dynamic web apps.

Unlike Astro, this looks more like a low effort experiment while making fun of a competitor than a project intended for any serious production use. Maybe I'm wrong. We'll see what happens a couple of years from now.

Tangential but it's amazing in 2026 browsers still don't ship a native DOM morph/merge API like morphdom or idiomorph.

I don't think that's pedantic. Seems like a valid objection to me. So many issues in the client JS world originate from insufficient or bad browser APIs.

I've been using custom elements and web components in production since 2016. The reality is that these don't even solve half the problem. The biggest problem frameworks solve is data binding and reactivity. Until there's a na

What if you're not a major news outlet? Also, how's the deal between the distributor and the news outlets? Do you get paid according to views or is it a flat fee?
