I agree, in the grand scheme of things it's really nothing. It doesn't really bother me that someone somewhere published some nonsense. It only irks me the persistent defense of these obviously wrong decisions. Just admit you fuck

I suspect your case is not that the packets are simply dropped but that the TCP connections are reset. Lookup your TCP stack statistics to verify. If that's the case try to find out if the resets are made by your side, the source or th

Because they understand that being a sociopath is considered to be 'bad' by the society. What's so difficult to understand? Liars and pretty everybody also think that being good at lying is an advantage but admitting to being

Geee... I thought it was crystal clear that when I stated 'a sociopath would never admit to being a sociopath' it was about a confession where you genuinely admit you are behaving badly out of your sense of remorse. Any kind of &#

Just a few years ago HTTP2 was the best thing since sliced bread and any criticism was silenced. This begs the question if HTTP2 was so great then why did they come up with HTTP3? SACK is not a silver bullet because when you have high laten

The Sokal article wasn't retracted and the editors still claim that they didn't make any mistake allowing his nonsense to be published. Can you see the difference?

It doesn't matter what issue they put his nonsense in. What matters is that his article was designed on purpose to look 'intellectual' but was made up of total nonsense to prove his point that the editors will allow any junk

I'd like to see an example on the same level as the Sokal article. That is a completely made up gibberish that is full of difficult words to look complicated and sophisticated.

Lame cop out. The article was a complete nonsense. It wasnt something like an unortodox view of things or passable article that missed some citations or whatnot. It would be like Nature publishing ramblings of some schizofrenic and when cal

Typical residential air conditioning is using 4kW of power. So your 40MJ of energy would be used up in 40MJ/4kW=10000 seconds, or just 3 hours. And its only theoretical, because it assumes 100% efficiency in storage and conversion

Sure they can. They simply 'forget' that there was a camera there but when a dispute comes up then they suddenly realize that actually there was one and surprisingly there is relevant footage, too.

I think metal work started with gold. It naturally occurs in a 'ready for use' form of nuggets. You don't need to melt anything and nuggets are very soft and easy to form into any desirable shape. Most likely it's initia
