I've tried lots of services and apps, and Spotify is my favorite. Of course, it's not perfect but it's way better than what the author suggests in this article. About the "Playlist a whole album is too complicated"; I'm not sure what he mea

Really interesting and well written. I particularly liked the part when the author said not to show feature as if they don't buy the silver bullet, they won't buy your product.

I, too, was disappointed by Richard Stallman' talk. We were a bunch of students in a conference in general software engineering. And he was invited to give a talk about copyright and freedom.. cool, right? Not exactly. He came in and starte

WHen you say you strongly disagree ; I'd assume you mean about the command line example. My point was more about how simple tools used every day by geeks might be useful to no-techny if made simpler and more accessible. And when I say term

What amaze me is how this same problem was solved years ago by programmers.. Hell, even dropbox used svn behind the scene. I remember when Dropbox was just starting, some friends and me were talking about useless it was. "Duh, if I want to

In fact, it's even better than what the author said: import requests print requests.get('http://gun.io').content Only two lines!

Anyway, points on comments doesn't say if a comment is good or bad; it says if people agree or not with it.

The article was submitted days ago and received no attention at all. I guess Bind Blowing Titles work even on HN.

That being said, that's pretty neat actually.

This is a great idea.. and something I've been wanting to do for a while! The reason I didn't do it was because of a competitor that pretty nailed it. I've been trying to find the website.. it's done in node.js with "robots". Basically, it

This is a great design and idea. I'm always perplexed about trusting a "CMS that will make your life way easier". But, this one seems well done. Let's say I use html/css from scratch; or integrate some coffeescript in it.. How clients are

I think this is a great idea. A tag mix of artists/genre would be a great way to get started as you can quickly select different kind of style you like.. and also it works for artist that goes for a big range of style.

Talking about not being too much inspired by others, I'd love to know what colours were used all over these slides. This blue background is beautiful, add to that the cute green and white text..

To be honest, I hate everything in one solutions for a couple reasons: 1. It never works. There's always some problems and since it's all in one package, it's really difficult to remove an item and switch it from something else. (For

+1 For that. I really love webfaction and it was the best idea to go with that as I didn't know at first how to configure my server. It has great "default" configuration and practices. Also, as Mike said, the customer support is great if

Maybe. Ask the user for a couple artist/song he likes. And then, try to find an existing user who liked these songs. So, implicitly, the new user could follow that existing user and get his/her recommendations. Does it make any sens?

By looking at the splash screen, I have no idea what it does. It promises me wonderful things.. but I don't see how it'd integrate with my apps. Maybe an image workflow of the big use-cases? Or a video? Or a tour.

I've tried the app a couple of time in the last few weeks. I've been a bit disappointed by the music recommendation and what was suggested to me. I.e. I don't care about "What everyone is listening" as I don't like it. I have no friend on i
