What I hate about OKCupid is that all the girls I've met only wanted sex. I.e. we have sex, it's all fun, and then they leave saying to call them back whenever I feel like having fun again. It's just not serious.. I clearly checked "Long ti

I like it; I do agree that there are many blogs hidden somewhere with gems in them. Meanwhile, when posting on HN, you can use the 'text' inside of the url and write the article in it. It's not nearly the same; but it's tweetable and can ge

Maybe I don't understand what you mean by "incompatible dialect". These are simple classes inheriting from list/dict. Basically, it simply add a couple methods to these objects. I.e. You can still use all the idioms/patterns; these are li

For me, it was using 'cd' without argument. (It takes you back to your ~). Also, learning the various options of grep (-v, -i, -A, -B) made its use really more powerful.

I'm not sure why you created a fake account to answer this but thanks again for your time. You're right that it was built for my own taste using simultaneously other languages (clojure, arc and js for instance). At the end of the day, what'

Thanks for all the good points. To be honest, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I've been coding in python for years and Moka was built from my annoyance using functional paradigms with the stdlib. As you clearly showed, Python doesn'

Optimizing for performance is the next big step of Moka and I understand that it's the breaking point for lots of python developers. So, I'll make sure to work on that and provide realistic benchmarks. As for the copy, yes it does as it tri

Thanks for the feedback, these are interesting points. I'd like to clarify a couple of things about your #2 and #3. def user_logged(users): > return List(users).all(User.is_logged) # If you want per instance: def user_logg

Cool. I do agree that official guides are sometime annoying as it gives you all the solution instead of just giving you the hint needed to continue. Good job :) Looking forward to see how it progress.

Thanks for the feedback; I agree with you. Here's the reasoning behind these odds choice.. List is-a list, and Dict is-a dict.. and thus, I'd like to make it possible to safely pass these objects to already existing code. If I rename .rem t

It's fairly new but feel free to browse the code; it should be pretty straightforward to you. I've tried to provide good examples to make it easy to learn/use on phzbox.com/moka/.

You know the question the VCs always ask: "What if google decided to attack your market, what would you do?" I guess it's a sad day for a couple of promising startups.

It's always the eternal "Good for user" vs "Good for programrers". I.e. When creating a new language, one must make choice.. should it be easier to read/use for the coder? Or easier to code from the developer side. And, if we look carefully

No, but that's not the point. If the web page is telling you "Wait, your email is being sent" and you close your browser, do you expect the email to be sent? Or if it says "Please wait, the document is being saved" and you close the applica

Well the website is mostly static; that'd be overkill. Maybe the author wanted to use another library to create the documentation automatically. But, you've got a point saying that if it's not your first choice for simple static pages, it's

Well, I don't want to go into deep maths but the chance of creating the same cID is infinitesimal.. so one doesn't have to manage this case graciously. I.e. Just refresh the page or make a soft refresh (clear the models and re-send the data

Would using only a CID be a solution? From the server perspective, it stores the real ID and the CID given by the client. In the extremely rare case where CID could be duplicated, the server could send back an error with an unique CID and
