Interesting. My usual approach at home is actually to put a few drops of cooking oil on my hands, which dissolves the grease; regular soap can then remove the oil. I already have some alcohol wipes in my bag as part of an emergency medical

You know what else is a nice thing to carry? A wad of paper towels to get the grease off. Even if someone can repair their own bike, they often don't have a plan for the grease. I've handed out paper towels to 4-5 people this year

Plausible. When I got a new trailer for my bike that could haul 300 lbs I just wanted to find someone who needed a sofa moved for free.

Pretty infuriating to see those chatbot responses. (The emoji -- and the particular choice of emoji -- were a very clear tell.)

Sure it's possible , but are there implementations in use that meet this criterion? Because if there aren't, then it matters substantially less whether they're possible.

To make this more concrete: There are a lot of "legally sanctioned" government actions happening in the US right now that are pretty dubious. That includes digging up old laws and giving them spicy new interpretations that legal e

Are you aware of any age verification systems that do not have this property? (This includes being robust against law enforcement action, legal or otherwise.)

The point is that lots of the code won't be `unsafe`, and therefore you benefit from memory safety in those parts.

Well, I don't know anyone who takes a full 1 hour lunch break -- back when I was in the office, I reckon it was more like 30-45 minutes? But people at all 4 office jobs I've worked did a standard 9-5 schedule. But yes, "out t

"Actual 9 to 5", meaning the standard 40 hour work week? If someone is telling you to work more than 40 hours a week in a salaried position, and they're not paying out the nose , you're being scammed.

I would generally recommend ignoring observational nutrition studies like this one. There's just a massive amount of bunk science in that area. Correlations all over the place, very little evidence for causation.
