I fail to see how this would work. An object is a combination of state and methods acting on the state, and purely functional meaning no state.

I just sent a screenshot of this page to my friends as an example on how awful modern websites are. There is one gigantic banner about their black friday sale that covers the top, a cookie notice that covers the lower left, a floating "

Yes, map returns a lazy sequence. Lazy sequences get realized in batches of 32, so calling `first` would realize the 32 first values and then return the first one of that.

It blew my mind when I first realized that in Clojure projects the programming language is a dependency of the project itself. Of course, there is still the JVM, but I personally have never run into JVM version problems.

Quite a lot of companies use Clojure professionally though. And you’re in luck, it plays great with Java!

Have you looked at Clojure’s core.async? It’s a port of Go’s concurrency model to Clojure.

Expound recently made my life a lot better by cutting through one of those ridiculous spec errors and telling me exactly what was wrong! I was really impressed.

It's actually Mexico. I've been vegetarian for 16 years and have been all over the place and it's really been the hardest in Mexico.

It's terrible to script, you cannot make use of the billion unix command line utilities (and there is no equivalent eco system either), you need to use the mouse too much, and it's awful to program with in any but a small number o

You're just saying 'Clojure isn't as good as CL because it's not CL'. When one of the the biggest selling point is "it works seamlessly on the JVM" it's a bit disingenuous to say "it's not a
