    Agreed, anecdotally, I have facial neuralgia (V5 nerve) following my moderate covid case. Confirmed by a Neurologist and MRI as post viral damage! Still have the pain 5 months on.

    Uh, all interest rates are quoted annualised, thats to make them directly comparable... to get the notional change just divide it by (365/tenor). Your other points are flatly nonsensical.

    While I largely agree with your post, you are forgetting about the total return, yes the S&P was like for like on a net basis, but dont forget about dividends in the intermediate period.

    All money is debt. What value do banks add in this day and age? They arent loaning all the near free money the central bank is offering to sustain commerce, so my feeling they will be cut out at some point soon.

    NZ doesnt have much going for it in terms of access to international equities. If you have over $10k USD, you can get an interactive brokers account, their API is a bit rubbish and commissions are normally around $6.00 USD flat. Otherwise D

    I used to write Java code which didn't have any objects, just byte arrays. It would never call GC and ran lightning fast.
