Sounds like you agree with TFA: > “Nobody was asking for the screen to be bigger. Nobody was asking for more production, more lasers. Literally, the number one complaint every year was, ‘Hey, you guys are overselling these shows, we want

I went to a show at Fabric in London during Kubecon last spring and they did the same thing. I still saw the odd person who peeled it off taking selfies or pics of friends inside but that was definitely the exception.

As an infra person I couldn't agree more. Get an expert in there. DB's are their own universe of complexity and deserve dedicated attention.

Baffling piece of software. It's a task manager and every time I use it I flail around for ages trying to figure out how to mark a task completed. No idea why people like it.

Thank you for being the first person in this discussion to explain wtf this is.

One problem with using containers as an isolation environment for a coding assistant is that it becomes challenging to have the agent work on a containerized project. You often need some janky "docker-in-docker" nonsense that hamp

Yeah I'm out here installing a billion node things to have codex hack on my python app. Def gonna look into a standalone rust binary.

Perhaps you're thinking of Bunnie Huang, who wrote a book about reversing the xbox. I love Bunnie because he seems to be in it for the joy and the sharing of information. Geohot (IIUC) hacked the iphone because apple didn't allow

I know very little about typescript and even less about rust. Am I getting the rust version of codex when I do `npm i -g @openai/codex`? A stand alone rust binary would be nicer than installing node.

Are we not doing gratitude on HN anymore? That's a bummer ...

This works great for naked code, but it kinda becomes a PITA if you want to develop a containerized application. As soon as you ask your agent to start hacking on a dockerfile or some compose files you start needing a bunch of cockeyed hack

Just taking this opportunity to point out (in case you haven't read it) that your project is very reminiscent of a fantastic scene from the classic cyberpunk novel Count Zero, in which the main charater Bobby catches a lift from Lucas,

Perhaps I'm off base here but it seems like the goal is: 1. allow an agent to run wild in some kind of isolated environment, giving the "tight loop" coding agent experience so you don't have to approve everything it does

git rebase appears to be a random number generator to me. I've got two PRs in flight, I realize that one branch requires something I did in the other branch. I go merge branch one, then rebase branch two off main. Half the time; succes
