Thanks, this seems like a really useful. It seems like it defaults to private collections of documents for each user, which is surprisingly hard to find.

My understanding is that disc sales represent a tiny fraction of total sales. If so, this might be one of those situations where what people say they want and their behavior are divergent.

Waning demand might be one factor, but the word on the street about the F-150 Lighthing has been generally pretty negative (justified or not, I don't know). So softening of the EV market may not be the whole story.

The consensus is that AMD cards work, but software support is pretty finicky. For my part, even if I wanted an AMD card, I'd either look for a great deal or wait until new nvidia cards just because they will likely push older card pric

The best option I have seen for routing is LiteLLM. Worth a look.

Thanks very much! I think before I looked at docs for Google AI Studio, but also for Google Workspace, and both made no guarantees. From the linked document, so save someone else a click: > The terms in this "Paid Services&qu

Can you link to documentation for Google's LLMs? I searched long and hard when Gemma 2 came out, and all of the LLM offerings seemed specifically exempted. I'd love to know if that has changed.

This is just incorrect. The OpenAI models hosted though Azure are HIPAA-compliant, and Antropic will also sign a BAA.

Interesting set of observations - I have not spent much time with both new releases, but the "vibe check" on o1-mini seems more promising than o1-preview. I hope they will post an update comparing results.

I don’t understand - the (implausible and unenforceable) request to censor was rejected, right?

I had a much smoother experience with the desktop version of AnythingLLM. There's more in openwebui, but the things that are in AnythingLLM are more polished (IMO).

I have been really impressed with AnythingLLM as a no-fuss way to use LLMs locally and via APIs. For those of us who want to tinker, there's a solid range of choice for embedders and vector stores. The single install desktop packaging

You probably already know that Aider is not a plugin, but just in case - it's a program that runs from the terminal. I think the results are very impressive, and it readily handles multiples source files for context.

Only OK if we get at least 4 usb/TB ports. Six would be fine and eight would be ideal.

I'm of two minds about this. I'm not sure continuously adding features is really necessary or desirable in software like Obsidian. I want new, shiny things but perhaps those should come in the form of optional plug-ins I could buy

If you chunk the document well (which is surprisingly tricky with messy documents), then you can do summary via map reduce or other techniques. To be clear: I don't trust it to provide an accurate summary; it's not meant to replac
