It was unclear to me, is this a native replacement for docker? I like docker (on mac) but its quite the resource hog. I usually run like a db, redis, maybe something like rabbitmq/zeromq and have a app that uses these services (makefil

Github is fine. It just has serious issues with the huge amount of traffic. I bet they will sort it out, and is most likely a top priority.

People seem to miss entirely that this is not (only) some slop code that makes github go down, but its the fact that they get 100x the number of requests since AI tools came to the devs daily workflow.

That, but also AI tools have made github req/res go up by 100x. There is simply too muvh AI generated traffic. I k ow for a fact that ANY other platform would fail faster than github if they had the same volume of http requests.

From my tests agents.md does NOT work with copilot. I have a custom languge and copilot thinks its Rust.

Its kind of sad that the first thing in the repo is a mention that no human was involved in the programming.

This is REALLY GOOD news for every passive investor. They try to game the system with this one, big time. There should be hearings about this, and new laws need to put in place to prevent something like this.

I have large doc file from a feature and everytime i tell claude to do something (read it) it consumes a shitton of tokens. Better to have small focused facts for ai instead.

Theres is also gleam that did this "upfront", and actully has a decent type system, im not sure if this effort is that relevant. On the flipside this is a good effort nontheless. For go there is also lisette ( https://gi

This goes down the same path. Every. Time. Thank god i did not use vite for anything serious. Esbuild is still my goto even after many years.

Facebook is so doomed. I recently logged in (after close to 10 years), and whooah the feed was wild. 90% was these weird pages having very sexual teasing shorts, or bikini girls / latex pants etc. None of the pages were something is ha

I cant see many paying for whatsapp or facebook/instagram. These are now taken for granted as being "free". Im pretty sure users would just migrate to signal/telegram/other if it ever became a paid service.

Go has warts, but projects like Lisette ( https://lisette.run/ ) try to fix those. Go has bare syntax, as lack some (modern?) features. But imho it has a superb runtime, eg has a WAY better concurrency story than what you see

What is even "modern php"? It has the same warts than it had back in the day, last i looked nothing is fixed.

PHP is fundamentally broken, and unfixable. Its a toy language, and there is no reason to pick it in 2026

I recall back in the mid 2000s when i saw many "rewrite in rails" apps. Its just hype, and it will die out in a few years when something new comes out.

Does anyone use claude with custom agents? IIRC they banned the use, and only allow claudes own agent.

Why would it be? There is projects like Roc that did the opposite, they went from rust to zig, as they (had to) use lots of unsafe rust. And before you ask, no it was not an AI generated rewrite.

Yes. PascalCase for Go, snake_case for Lisette. I find it quite good actually as i can see what hooks into the Go ecosystem instantly. Ofc you can write your own wrapper, but so far i have not bothered.

This hits hard, specially for PHP. Previously we had devs "who only knew" PHP, and once they started vibe coding most have started using Go. As a benefit i find that static types help AI to make correct/better decisitions tha

Thats just a pragmatic design decision for Go interop, as Go went nuts with public being UpperCase. Theres no camelCase tho? Snake case and PascalCase fir Go modules interrop.

There seems to be a surge in compile to Go projects recently. To me this signals that the runtime / stdlib of Go is one of the best out there (when going the GD'd route), but the surface level (syntax) is too simple/verbose a

Horrible. More recent (i wont post any links) are the reddit community (i wont name it here) where some girl did self harm by cutting to her thigh. It was not the "usual" skin deep cuts, but this girl cut all the way to the bone.
