I'm sure the VC with an MA in History asked the correct probing questions. "Will you be scaling this down to mobile size/weight?" "Yes." Well, all done then... Sure they could sue. And ruin the company, which a

The demo he refers to was not (and could never be) an actual commercial product. It was stationary and the optics were 100x what could fit on a mobile device. What they eventually shipped had very little to do with the tech used in the pri

I think he's missing the point. The issue was never if some of the info on the laptop was correct/validated. It was: 1. Was the laptop/information stolen, and then "laundered" through the repair shop. 2. Was true

Novavax is potentially even more efficacious, and should be widely available next year. [1] It's also not mRNA based FWIW. [2] [1] https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/... [2] https:&#

"A common misunderstanding is that a 100-year flood is likely to occur only once in a 100-year period. In fact, there is approximately a 63.4% chance of one or more 100-year floods occurring in any 100-year period." [1] Which is d

It's not so secret. The intel 670p (using 3D4 QLC) can do 370 TB of writes for the 1 TB model. [1] That makes it terrible for a DB, but perfectly fine for a media server. And other than the limit on total writes, it's overall a go

It says in your link there is a 3% difference in "Geekbench 5 (Multi-Core)" between the two? I would say that is practically equivalent, particularly since 5900HX comes in several TDPs. (It says "54 Watt" at your link.)

Actually not--a 5900HX is about 1400/7500 (ST/MT GB5) An M1 is about 1700/7600. So call that a tie for MT, and 20% faster in ST...with a chip using about a third the power.

Many vaccines don't have 100% efficacy, and diminished protection over time. The point is that if everyone has good enough protection from a vaccine, the outbreaks die down (r_0 < 1). For example, One dose of MMR vaccine is 93% effe
