Exactly the type of thing I’d pay someone not to deal with. It’s like media streaming vs piracy. Even though I could get a nice local setup with plex and have higher quality streams with free pirated br rips, I just don’t want to deal with

No they haven’t. It’s like two guys that nobody really believes. You specifically seek that information out to get mad, then proceed to see it where it’s not. Like when someone makes a cool personal project about their hobby and it happen

I very much don’t want to run it locally. I want the same one running somewhere else that I can interact with from all my devices. Look at something like Grok Bot. Nobody is going to run this locally. You can already self host almost anythi

What are all the systems you’ve built good UIs in that are worse than HTML/CSS?

I agree with that. However, there’s much dialogue around subsidized tokens for business use too, that people paying for the tokens are also vastly underpaying vs the “real” cost. I certainly don’t know the answer to that. Maybe the Chinese

Can you explain better how OpenAI, for example, would simultaneously subsidize tokens while overcharging for them? Not sure I get it.

> anticompetitive The barrier to entry is so high at this point that I fear we’ll never see another real entrant. Do these regulations meaningfully move the needle? I doubt it. They do mean that you can be a little more competitive again

Yeah, certainly. Just asked a bunch of questions yesterday to ChatGPT about 3d printing since I bought one without knowing much about them, then had it generate a few STLs that I used for spacing some hexagonal acoustic dampening felt tiles

This was modeled after my former coworker Tom who had to be told not to clip his toenails in the open office, and then told not to do it in the lounge room even if he was alone

What argument? Are you preemptively mad about something that's not happening? I just had a funny thought brother, I'd rather not be involved in your OS platform supremacy battle.

Yeah I messed up, was supposed to reply to https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49331222#49331921 > ... Apple's own apps are still blessed with permissions that other apps have to ask for. This needs to be addressed

Imagining my grandpa calling me because his camera doesn't work because he denied the camera permission on his camera app. But then he can't because he denied all the permissions his phone app needs.

Just reporting work as done that’s not even close mainly. Then if you manually screenshot both and ask if they are the same it’s like “yeah looks great boss”. The visual understanding of the models is just leagues worse than their text/

I’ve tried it on simple UI tasks. Give it screenshot to work towards (or figma MCP), let it get screenshots from chrome to check its work. The existing models are surprisingly bad at it.

Yeah, just have to make sure your phone isn’t on silent for sound effects in the browser. Also if you use an ad blocker, which I highly recommend, you wouldn’t have seen any of the ads or other stuff most of the comments can’t seem to figur

Please provide some, any, evidence or reasoning for your accusations. Otherwise it’s just lazy. I know shallow dismissals is kind of HN’s thing, but come on, a little effort please. Currently, your comment is just as much slop

Luna has impressive results on DeepSWE. I mostly split work between Luna and Sol. If something seems simple enough I always try it with Luna first.

Yeah now it might be ok but when it came out I didn’t want to bet on it. Around the same time at my job tried to build a design system off Google’s web component MD implementation and that shit stalled and then got fully abandoned.
