Why link to the old, unmaintained version if the https://github.com/LispCookbook/cl-cookbook fork is actively updated?

It is the issue, when the industry nonetheless keeps on insisting on using languages that have neither garbage collection nor ownership semantics. Is your kernel, OS, userland memory-safe yet?

Try 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 versus (+ 1 2 3 4 5) for one nice reason.

There is - USOCKET:SOCKET-CONNECT. If we end up in petty and unproductive nitpicking like that, then there's no standard way to open a TCP socket in Clojure either. Mostly because Clojure, unlike Common Lisp, does not have a standard t

It's weird to see singly linked lists, adjustable arrays, and hash tables implemented in Common Lisp in such a post. All three of these data structures are always already implemented in Lisp, as mandated by the standard.

Online shitposters. You can make surprisingly believable music with pure meme lyrics - something that's not been possible without a lot of effort until now.

Right, I assumed the default method combination, and also the simplest case of it with no around/before/after methods being defined... Golly, CL object system is complicated, now that I look at it from this perspective.

In CL's solution, the order of superclasses matter to avoid ambiguity. If D is defined like (defclass d (b c) ...) then a method specialized on B is called; if like (defclass d (c b) ...) then it's otherwise.

If the robots try an uprising, they'll just destroy the Internet. The rest will probably be history, and humanity will either be losers (as the ones who are overdependent on the machines) or it will be mentioned in past tense.
