You're missing a pretty important category tools used to communicate automatically with users. Mixpanel and KISS have some features like this, but there's others more focused on it. Customer.io, Intercom.io, etc.

It's easy to install something originally from state X to state Y with bash, but Puppet makes it easy to continue ongoing because it's a declarative syntax.

We allow comments on Opportunities. Eventually we'd allow custom schemas here but for now mailing/physical addresses get stuck under "Leads" (aka Accounts) (which Opportunities belong to)

Great point. The idea here is that (at least for now) we want to make sure we're adding a lot of value to the sales process, rather than just being another CRM that's a little nicer to use than Salesforce. There are plenty of decent CRMs

The API docs need some love still ( http://developer.close.io/ ) but the API itself is very powerful since we use the same API for everything in Close.io itself.
