By selecting all the cells in the row and clicking the sum button? I get your point though, many excel users are writing bits of code here and there, especially if you consider math to be code.

I may be mistaken, but I think the kids that would benefit most from finance education don’t get to matrix multiplication anyway.

"Market maker" refers to a "role" in a market. HFT is simply one way that role is fulfilled, in some markets (equities, futures, ...) but perhaps not others (corporate bonds, MBS, ...). No market needs HFTs to provid

Aren't you expected to be fake happy in all portions of American culture? I am American so cannot meaningfully comment on other cultures, but it I suppose it could be true for every culture as well. People just like being around happy

As of a few years ago, the starting big law salary has moved up to $190k from $160k. Otherwise this comment is correct.

I'm trying to assume a good faith argument here, but I'm struggling to. So I'll just say that we see the situation very differently.

This doesn't seem like a fair analogy for a number of reasons. But mostly just that COVID itself is not destroying businesses, whereas a hurricane literally is.

What if your tasks use blocking IO, and the number you tasks you have exceed a reasonable number of threads? Your answer might be to use async, event-driven IO instead, but the central thesis behind virtual threads is that this is a terribl

A small note: Helicopter Money has a relatively precise definition, and what the US government (and Federal Reserve) has done in 2020 does not fit that definition. The Fed's activities still fall under the umbrella of Quantitative Eas

I disagree that it is completely useless. You're basically arguing that time is only useful as a relative measure, not an absolute one. While that is true in some sense (the ordering of events and the space between them is what matte

I think you have it slightly wrong. LTS is not a thing inherent to the language or to OpenJDK, it is a thing that a vendor provides. It is separate from from "update" releases that Corretto and AdoptOpenJDK provide. pron98 (pron
