The inversion is really cool, e.g. > f = λa λb concat ["Hello ",a," ",b,"!"] > f "Jane" "Doe" Hello Jane Doe! then, > g = f "Admiral" > invert g "Hello Admir

Fellow software engineers, what are we doing here? Why are we letting the EU / UK define the future of software?

Recently rewatched Demolition Man (1993) where criminals are frozen in cryostasis and then reanimated – a very prescient film. All I could think of was Demolition Pig

I wrote it down here: https://x.com/BraaiEngineer/status/2016887552163119225 However, I have since condensed this into 2 prompts: 1. Write plan in Plan Mode 2. (Exit Plan Mode) Critique -> Improve loop -> Im

I am getting disproportionately good results with the models by following a process: spec -> plan -> critique -> improve plan -> implement plan.

No one left ChatGPT over that deal: they decided to try Anthropic's Claude because the Department of War gave them free marketing.

I wanted to test this but if I decline file access I can't do anything. What gives? Do you want people to understand your product? Demo your product. Why do you need file access to sell me? Closed immediately. btw. I am your target mar

This is similar to how Clojure transducers are implemented: "give me the next thing plz." – https://clojure.org/reference/transducers

The US govt & Hegseth are in a pickle, because if they blackball Anthropic, they will become more powerful than govt. could ever imagine, because it would be the greatest PR any frontier model could ever hope for. It's a mistake fo

Would recommend placing example language syntax above the fold. Was tough to have to scroll halfway down the entire site to see any syntax. Nobody cares about the EBNF syntax until they have a feel for the language.

My process is similar, but I recently added a new "critique the plan" feedback loop that is yielding good results. Steps: 1. Spec 2. Plan 3. Read the plan & tell it to fix its bad ideas. 4. (NB) Critique the plan (loop) &

4% is yuuuge. In hard projects, 1% is the difference between getting it right with an elegant design or going completely off the rails.

I have helped a lot of people earn more money. The best advice I have for anyone doing salary negotiations: you cannot negotiate without options, so step 1 in any negotiation is to gather options.

The constraint is getting regulatory approval for building new power plants on Earth, even solar plants. We can make chips faster than we can build power plants.

Solar panels are much more efficient in space (no atmosphere). Before downvoting, would you mind quoting the relative cost of batteries vs. solar panels for a 150kW solar-powered satellite?

Batteries are expensive. Marginal cost of launches keep coming down for SpaceX with reusable rockets and lifetime of satellites is long.

Yes, xAI & Anthropic. Electricity generation is the constraining factor, but the sun does not turn off in space. xAI data centers in space drives cost to zero, even with inferior models. I see no other future than SpaceXai winning.

If you're reading this, Anthropic, it's suicide. I will actively look for a way to cancel my $200/month subscription if you keep killing paying developers' accounts without warning. It is simply too risky to start depend
