I used to use Pandora, and then I switched to T61 because I liked the type of music I found on T61. I enjoy the idea that I'm hearing new, independent artists that actually sound fantastic. The whole redesign debate is pretty pointless to

Man...that guy is amazing. That was really interesting to realize that he was the designer behind some major Apple UI features.

I agree, but you definitely wouldn't want to keep jumping from bad project to bad project. The end goal should be to take that very useful experience and turn it into a very successful project.

What happens, then, when you can get all of this information and analysis online for free (from those same respectable newspapers and magazines)?

I'm sure dagw would not agree with your description of cable news as analysis. I think he/she is trying to say that newspaper analysis by respectable papers is worth a lot, and it won't lose it's value overnight. People still value NYT be

I was thinking "WOW", as well, but breck's right. This shouldn't really be that surprising any more given the price of disk storage these days.

Don't the Japanese have those special barcodes everywhere? I'm sure something like that will eventually make it here, and an iPhone app would be a very quick, easy way to get it out there.

Because usually there would be some lag time for the camera's electronics to actually process your actions and finally snap the shutter.

Germs and such on fingers doesn't appeal to me. Instead I just pick at them...it's just as bad. I tend to do it most when concentrating hard, and I've been doing it for as long as I can remember. Any tips? (I think I need nail clippers a

Those Pre keys are way too tiny. I didn't like how it felt after using it for a little bit, and I don't think I'd like it for a long time. I'm really glad Apple went the software keyboard route. It was definitely a smart idea (and it's m

My earlier statements about the carriers still apply. They're just prolonging the inevitable, which isn't so surprising. I think the fear that people will be able to SMS for free is a big deal to them, though things like AIM on the iPhone

Yikes, and I thought I had it bad. Only 50 minutes?! Granted, I only use about half of my 450 (lowest you can go with AT&T). I just wish the market would move more towards generic data access like an ISP. Voice, SMS, wireless Interne

In many ways, it's unavoidable with any US carrier. The whole text messaging racket just bothers me so much. It's such an abuse of the customer, and all of the wireless companies seem to collude to keep those rates exorbitant. It also bo

Good thing they don't "run out". If you just had some extra, cheap HDMI cables or component cables lying around, you'd have been set. I'll keep that in mind as I buy some HDMI cables soon for my upcoming HDTV purchase.

I totally agree. I really love imagining a filtering/triaging feature being a part of Wave. If incoming messages were automatically (or with just some amount of learning) given an importance rating, that would make my mind much clearer.

In large cities, you're still surrounded by many peers. While they may be harder to interact with due to distances, you'll likely also have the means to reach them relatively easily (car, public transportation). Tech meetups are really ea
