Medical practice management software. (we run the medical practices as well) If we made software that was accessible to the general public I would hesitate to only use CSS grid.

As someone who recently converted to using CSS grid for my company, I can't imagine going back. It really reduces the mental overhead when building complex layouts and has made my code shorter and easier to understand.

I would highly consider moving to CSS grid for new projects. It landed in most major browsers about a year ago[0] and is a joy to use. Having a proper layout system built into the browser removes the need for a lot of the features of these

I'm still surprised that no one has proposed a protocol to replace Facebook / Twitter. If a real time RSS system existed then both of those companies don't really need to exist. In fact, I think you could mock up a service ju

As an employee and a founder of a company his viewpoint seems to go against what has made the most effective teams I've worked with. You should focus on outputs not inputs when working. If someone can do the work of someone else with a

Congrats on shipping the new version! While I don't use it currently, Bootstrap helped me go from 0 design skills to build non-awful user interfaces. It's hard to overstate the impact they have had on making the web a better place

As someone who has made an EMR and has used OpenEMR there are a few reasons why there hasn't been a fully implemented open source solution in this space. 1.) Hospitals are fairly risk averse organizations. Instead of spending resources

Yep, it is appalling that these laws are still on the books in so many states. For those who live in CON states you should expect your healthcare bills to be about 10% higher with no increase in quality of care due to monopoly pricing. The

Yes. The computer should never do something that I haven't explicitly told it to do. You can design the same exact feature but I need to trigger it, the machine should not be making decisions for me.
