I am speaking from personal experience. Bus scheduling with constraints was literally the textbook problem I was solving in my Operations Research class during my Junior year in undergrad. I would not classify myself as a genius, did not go

Based on my knowledge of operations research, there is likely no AI involved in solving any of these problems. This is just a pure math problem, one that someone who knows excel really well could solve. While you may not understand the math

The palette does two jobs. First, it makes sure you don't overwrite yourself somewhere else in the codebase. It also helps you easily see where someone has goofed since they aren't using the palette when defining a color. You coul

Take this one step further and build the color palette into your stylesheets. If you're using Sass you can setup something like: $palettes: ( blue: ( lightest: hsl(201, 75%, 66%), lighter: hsl(201, 75%, 61%

Rabies is far less common than other diseases that you are vaccinated for. The market is small enough (~50K vaccines per year) that it is unlikely that multiple players will be able to enter the marketplace and survive. Vaccines also expire

You can use Docker + containers with OTP, they are not mutually exclusive. Daniel Azuma gave a talk at the most recent Elixirconf about this subject.[0] [0]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLApFANtkHs

Any reason why you wouldn't self host your tiles using something like open map tiles?[0] If you're geocoding mostly US addresses it's actually not impossible to roll your own geocoder* . If you're insane enough, I'm

Some good points, but I would suggest using "font-display: swap;" instead of "font-display: optional;" This will avoid the problems outlined and will actually replace the fallback font with the custom one without having

We tend to treat a lot of things as equivalent just because we have some statistic that we can use for comparison. I know it may sound shocking to some, but paying more does not necessarily mean that something is wrong. If I want a private

What matters are the outputs and not the inputs. The author has all of these resources, but her output is frankly disappointing. You could accomplish more in 6 months than she has in her career if you truly dedicated yourself to the craft.

I think the advantages of the Bay area are overhyped. If you take a look at the of number of people that are employed by these companies, few of them employ more than 500 people. A lot of them employ less than 100 people. I think you can fi

The most striking thing about this map to me was that you could draw a straight line from the bottom of Virginia all the way across the United States and you wouldn't find a single top company until you hit Los Angeles. There are about
