You can, but any shared address book needs to have a very clear scope of applicability. Basically: any users that are communicating need to either share the same registry, or have some clear indication that they aren't in order to avoi

Basically petnames change the addressing architecture from “one global mapping” to “many local mappings.” This means that petnames cannot be used as shared identifiers; you use a global UUID when you need to identify information between use

Depends on who you're talking to, but I think the interest by crypto people in Uniswap suggests they're pretty aware of this problem and not excusing it.

There's been some employee attrition and negative effects on company morale. I also think the brand-reputation damage of this episode will take time to show itself.

IMO it’s a cross between the personal tastes of the creators and the emotional story they’re trying to convey. The aesthetic here, looking on mobile, seems to be trying to evoke memories of vacations, a sense of adventure, perhaps the mysti

I see JSON-LD show up in a lot of standards-driven document formats and it's made sense to me in that context. For instance, in DIDs^1 the basic document shape is established by one standard but then the key material is often identifie

Sorry to make you repeat yourself, but we’re looking at DIDs and I’d like to know your arguments against them. Do you mind linking to a comment or summarizing?

Yeah. UI is unrefined in a way that is kind of fun in a Craigslisty way but doesn’t totally land for me. The core ideas of a social wiki never seemed to reveal themselves to me in a super interesting way

The EV market is becoming extremely competitive. Not only are they not going to be the only game in town, they probably won’t have the best product. Tesla’s valuation has to come back from the moon at some point.
