AFAICT, your question doesn't make sense. But I guess you are thinking, "what if we should be using the TAIL_CALL syntax for performance but most people don't, and it's exarbated inside a tight loop?" If so, I'

According to Wikipedia Torvalds started developing that in 2011, whereas he started Git in 2005. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subsurface_(software) which is just an alias for Torvald's page, search for "

Can you say more about this? My first thought is that you're talking about the various data types in Clojure being implemented with Java interfaces. But my understanding is (I'm not a Java developer) that interfaces existed pre ge

The OP describes the support in HLC for TCO as limited (only for self-recursion, if I get it right, possibly more limited than that). Steele may still have been first to describe general TCO.

Agreeing on the flicker. I don't think it's surprising that it's so common, though--undimmed lights are cheapest to power by not making proper DC out of the AC coming from the socket, and dimmed lights are cheapest to dim by

Thanks for your answer! I'll try out some bootstrapping paths and will make an effort of getting a full understanding of the whole picture, and am hoping to write something up about what I find out. (BTW I did ask on IRC, some further

It appears that this project is in competition with Mes[1], which is also running under the http://bootstrappable.org/ 'umbrella', and which implements both a Scheme interpreter (in C) and a C compiler (in Scheme)

There's a nice clip "Retro Jungle Production With Pete Cannon" from 2020 where he showcases both the Atari ST with MIDI and the Amiga with the OctaMED tracker, and is getting an LP pressed with some new Jungle of his: https:

I'm happy for your post (I might be about to look into deciding for a laptop, too, and unlike general review sites the discussion here is centred on the use for a particular community we're part of), and honestly I find JabavuAdam
