I seriously doubt this is true. Porn makes up like 20-30% of traffic and searches on the internet. Even if only 10% of users are paying it would still be a very high number of transactions.

Too many people don't care. Just look how many people are plugging away at AI even though it could easily lead to extinction level events. Even before that people were making the H bomb and even other smaller scale weapons. Too many

Even the present would be mostly unrecognizable to someone who lived 1000 years ago. 1000 years from now will certainly be even stranger to us.

Mostly what mmt1 said, but also what you are describing is against the tos of steam. They have done everything within their power to make this not legitimate. If an operator buys a game that normally gives out tickets and uses it as an ille

"it's likely 1000+ years away." That seems like a pretty high number when you consider the exponential rate of technological advancement. 1000 years in the future is probably going to be completely unrecognizable to us given

What is that websters? That is not the legal definition of gambling, and all court decisions on the subject clearly indicate that gambling requires real cash value to the prizes and not just entertainment that has no actual value. Loot boxe

I think it is more clear that a CCG is a form of gambling. Loot boxes do not give you anything that you can redeem for cash.

Let me clear it up for you. The entertainment you derive from a scratch lottery ticket is not the "prize" element of gambling. The prize is the money you win from the scratch off. Gambling devices pay out a prize that is worth a

No, that would not be the appropriate comparison at all. That is the comparison that is more similar to loot boxes, but not to the definition you have decided upon. Loot boxes give you variable entertainment, but for that to be gambling you

I'm not fear mongering at all. I was there for like 3-4 days and had upwards of 3 encounters with people attempting to separate and rob my group on the metro. That is insane. I'm not like some country bumpkin either, I am from N
