I live in Japan and let me tell you that the Japanese being perfectionists is also a myth. What Japanese people are really good at is following instructions and procedures, to the point that you see their minds crashing when something goes

Things are changed though. I work for a Japanese company, and when I applied for my current job the whole process was fully online. The website was crap though, as most Japanese web services are, but that is another topic...

Can confirm. I just renewed my Spanish DNIe last summer and not only was the whole process super smooth and took only a few minutes, but the certificate works on Linux out of the box! DNIe was crap for many years, but credit where credit is

We Linux users suffer it. Supposedly, nowadays applications should store their files under ~/.config, ~/.local and ~/.cache, but you still find a million applications that create their own folders without following any standa

For me both red and white wine are OK, but a glass of Japanese sake and the next day I want to kill myself to end the suffering. Which is a pity, because I like the flavor, but it gives me the worst hangovers ever.

If that is the case, it doesn't work very well. I live in Japan and I have seen plenty of people with strong flush reactions that don't give a shit, they still drink like sponges.

I played Black Mesa a couple of years ago, and I really loved it. All the fun of the original game, but with much better graphics. Frankly speaking, I find it difficult nowadays to go back to the old, blocky early 3D games. Except for Quake

I fully agree with you. Xen was quite crap in the original, but in Black Mesa it is fantastic, and feels really alien and weird.

For compiled templates I have used Askama: https://crates.io/crates/askama My biggest gripe is that when a template doesn't compile the error messages are quite useless, but other than that it is great.

That depends on the country. For example, in Japan it is very common to write dates with either a dot, or with the full kanjis for year, month and day.
