Sources? It is the first time I see that definition, and sorry but it doesn't make any sense.

Since when is East Asia considered "Western"? I live in a Japanese city with a US military base and trust me, the only Western thing here are the few bars that cater to them.

I had a friend who had a serious beard by the age of 15; he would order whisky and cola at the bar, and nobody ever asked him for any kind of ID xD I myself have a mighty beard but took a couple more years to develop...

Same here, most of the pictures look really dark and not orange at all.

I don't know if you are serious, but I can tell you that the way these people abuse Excel is maddening.

Sounds like my random Japanese company, except for the fact that here all the forms are created in Excel.

Having done some embedded development, I am pretty sure that those 3D printers had a serial-over-USB converter like the famous FTDI family of chips. Those chips just simulate a plain old RS232 connection over USB.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one who thinks the same. My mother language doesn't use title case, maybe it's why I find it ugly. Another thing that I also find really annoying is using commas instead of "and" i

I would say that functionality requires a minimum sense of aesthetics. Most Japanese towns are not even functional, they are just a chaotic maze of tiny streets and ugly buildings. I know because I live in one.

I don't know what you guys mean by "constitutional republic", but in the rest of the world "republic" just means "not a monarchy".

This looks interesting. I live in Aomori, the northernmost prefecture of Honshū and I would love to see such a system implemented here. We get LOTS of snow here and the snow removal service is... not very good.

Look, I am from Spain, currently living in Japan, two very safe countries with some of the lowest rates of crimes in the world. I have met plenty of Americans living in both places, and do you know what they told me? 1) They love having a f

The GBA had 6 videos modes: 4 of them were tile based, and the other 3 were framebuffer based. That's how games like Doom could run on the GBA.

I strongly disagree. I am an European guy living in the inaka (Japanese countryside), and to me small Japanese cities and towns look like small US towns: a few big box stores here and there, a bunch of konbinis around the corner, and a mill
